Music and Moods

Have you ever been listening to music, not really paying attention to what's playing, and then all of a sudden the next song starts and it so perfectly describes how you're feeling at that very moment? As if your mood somehow modified the electrical field emanating from that 1.5kg mess of wiring called your brain just enough to influence the randomness of your music player's pseudo-random number generator? Forget the fact that my iPod wasn't on random... Oh, I know! It must have been the sun-spots!

[/sarcasm]

Anyway, it struck me that I often forget just how powerful music can be. I will sometimes go for a while without listening to any music, and then sometimes I can't imagine getting through a day without listening to music. It is truly amazing how it can affect our moods, our perceptions, and our realities.

I'm not really sure why this warranted a post, but I happened to think about the blog while I was listening to Counting Crows, and then Time and Time Again started playing and I decided it should be posted...

Introducing the Random label, for posts that are at the very least mostly random.
